World Pride 2021 (#TBT) – Photos

Throwback Thursday!

In 2021, we, Ukulellur, traveled to Copenhagen to perform at World Pride. Not only did we play at the grand City Hall Square and Gammel Strand, but we also performed for none other than the Crown Princess of Denmark – before she became queen!

After a spectacular performance about straight people, lesbians, and life at bar 22 in Reykjavík, we were treated to Rådhuspandekager. The famous City Hall pancakes hold a lot of history, as they have been served on special occasions for nearly hundred years for esteemed guests of the City Hall, such as Olympic gold medalists, royal families, and, of course, Ukulellur.

City Hall pancakes were first served to the Belgian King Albert in 1928 when he visited Denmark, and they were such a hit that they kept serving them – but only on special occasions.
